✦ Engineering due diligence

Know the engineering team before you sign.

Financials tell you what a company earned. They do not tell you who builds the product. Metripact turns the target's own work evidence into a source-backed assessment of the engineering organization.

Technical due diligence

The questions a data room never answers.

Who actually builds the product

Org charts and founder narratives describe the team management wants you to see. Metripact analyzes the work itself across the period you choose: what shipped, who carried it, and which competencies the evidence actually supports. The team you are paying for should match the team that exists.

Key-person and knowledge risk

See which systems depend on a single person, where knowledge is concentrated, and which retention packages are worth negotiating before close rather than after.

Integration and post-close planning

Go into day one knowing team strengths, ownership boundaries, and where the acquired organization will need support, instead of discovering it a quarter later.

Findings you can defend

Every conclusion links back to the evidence behind it, and gaps in coverage are stated explicitly, so the investment committee sees what is supported and what is still an open question for management.

How it works

From the target's tools to a diligence packet.

Diligence windows are short. AI does the heavy lifting across years of work history; your deal team spends its time on judgement, not on reading commit logs and ticket exports.

Get access to the workWith the target's cooperation, connect the systems where the engineering organization plans, builds, and ships. It is the same read-only access a technical diligence exercise already requires.
Let AI assess the periodChoose the window and the role levels that matter to the thesis. Metripact maps the evidence to competencies, surfaces ownership concentration, and marks where the sources cannot support a conclusion.
Take it to the deal teamWalk the packet with your technical advisor, turn evidence gaps into management questions, and carry the findings into valuation, retention terms, and the integration plan.
Confidential by deployment

A live deal's data never has to leave the room.

Pre-close, the target's work data is some of the most sensitive material in the transaction. Run Metripact and the AI model entirely inside your environment, or the target's, so nothing is sent to a third-party provider. Connect a hosted model only if both sides agree to it.

Common questions

Before you assess someone else's team.

Assessing an organization you do not own yet raises fair questions. These are the ones acquirers and their counsel ask first.

Can this be run without the target's cooperation?
No. Metripact reads the systems it is given access to, and that access comes from the target as part of an agreed diligence process. It is not a way to assess a company from the outside, and it is not designed to work around anyone's consent.
What about employee privacy and local law?
Work evidence about identifiable people is personal data, and assessing it during a transaction carries obligations that vary by jurisdiction, including notice, works-council consultation, and limits on pre-close information sharing. Scope the exercise with counsel, connect only the sources you need, and use a deployment that keeps the data where your agreements require it.
How far back can it look?
As far back as the connected systems retain history. Most diligence exercises look at the last twelve to twenty-four months, which is long enough to see how ownership and delivery have shifted rather than a single quarter's snapshot.
Is this a replacement for a technical advisor?
No. It is what your technical advisor reads before the management sessions. Metripact does the evidence gathering across a volume of work no advisor can read in a two-week window, so the expert time goes to interpretation and to the questions the evidence cannot answer.
